Food
This fish from Ukrainian waters is more than twice as fatty as Dutch maatjes. Yet only 510 tonnes a season may be caught
While Norwegian frozen herring fills the shelves, Ukraine has its own — the Danube shad, with a fat content of around 35 per cent. It is caught only in spring, and the quota for the whole season is 510 tonnes.
