On Saturday, 26 September, at 17:00, Bucha Fortuna play Tytan in Kyiv in the seventh round of the Kyiv region Premier League. The match is at the Zmina stadium. It is the first of three meetings between the two sides in three weeks: under the Ukrainian Amateur Cup bracket, Fortuna and Tytan also face each other in the quarter-finals on 7 and 14 October.

The time and venue were announced by the club; the standings come from the Kyiv regional football association table.

What is at stake

Tytan are second: 12 points from six matches, four wins, two defeats and a goal difference of 19-5. Fortuna are fifth on nine points but have played one game fewer: three wins, two defeats, 12-6. Kalynivka lead on 16 points.

The arithmetic is simple: a win in Kyiv would draw Bucha level on points with Tytan, while Fortuna would still have a game in hand.

Who Tytan are

The Kyiv side only made their debut in the regional championship last year, and this September they produced the biggest upset of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup: they beat the reigning Ukrainian champions Agrotekh 1-0 twice — at home and in Tyshkivka. We analysed the first leg separately.

In the league Tytan have one of the sharpest attacks: Dmytro Voznyi has scored six goals and Kostiantyn Beziazychnyi five. Both are among the tournament’s top eight scorers.

What shape Fortuna are in

For Bucha this is a third match in eight days. On 19 September they thrashed the Trubin Academy 9-0 in the Kyiv region Cup, and on Wednesday they got past Rokyta in the Ukrainian Cup only on penalties — after 120 minutes and three air-raid alerts.

In that game debutant Mykyta Dzen scored twice and Mykyta Makhynia struck in extra time. The club registered three new signings just days before the match.

Fortuna’s last league match was a hard one: on 12 September they lost 1-4 to the leaders Kalynivka. A week earlier Bucha routed Kolos of Kovalivka 4-0, with four different scorers.

What comes next

On 7 October Fortuna and Tytan meet again — in the first leg of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup quarter-final, with the return on 14 October. There will be no draw: the bracket decided the tie. So Saturday is also a scouting mission before the cup duel. On 3–4 October Fortuna play the second leg of the Kyiv region Cup last 16 against the Anatolii Trubin Academy.
