A car was damaged in the Bucha district in a drone attack on Sunday, 20 September. The fire that broke out at the scene has already been extinguished.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported this at 18:05.

The neighbours were hit too. In the Boryspil district warehouse premises caught fire — at the time of the report rescuers were still fighting it; a canopy and a car at a private household were damaged there as well. In the Fastiv district an enterprise’s buildings and vehicles were damaged. According to preliminary information, nobody was killed or injured; services continue to work on site. Where exactly in the Bucha district the car was damaged, the administration did not specify.

How the evening went

The alert for the Bucha district was short this time but of the highest level: at 17:46 Kyiv region police declared a red level — a missile threat, the all-clear came at 18:03, and at 18:10 the district was put back on yellow — a drone threat.

It is the fourth day in a row with consequences on the ground. On Saturday, 19 September, rescuers fought a fire in a warehouse building of an office and logistics complex in the Bucha district — because of repeated alerts they had to withdraw to a safe distance from time to time; another roof fire at a warehouse that day was put out quickly.

As a reminder, on Thursday evening two men sustained shrapnel wounds in a drone attack on the Bucha district, and before that the region went through almost a day of continuous strikes — 33 damaged sites.
