Oleksandr Petrovych Rudenok was born on 25 July 1989 in the village of Marianivka in the Makariv area. He was killed on 26 July 2026 — the day after he turned thirty-seven.

He joined the front in August 2022

Oleksandr Rudenok stood up for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine in August 2022 — after occupation and the front line had already passed through his native Makariv area. He served as an operator in the signals platoon of the communications company of military unit A4076.

A signalman's work rarely makes the reports, but nothing works without it: command of units passes through those very communication nodes. Operators are kept where the unit carries out its mission, so their risk is the same as everyone else's.

His mother, sister, brother and daughter were waiting

Waiting for Oleksandr to return with victory were his mother, sister, brother, daughter and relatives. The community put it plainly: "He fulfilled his military duty with honour and gave his life for every one of us."

The funeral took place on 1 August. The cortege passed through Makariv — along Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street, then the square by the Taras Shevchenko monument, then Dymytriia Rostovskoho and Yaroslava Mudroho streets.

A road through seven villages

After Makariv the cortege drove through Fasivochka, Kalynivka, Sytniaky, Yuriv, Kopiivka, Chervona Sloboda and Karashyn — and only then reached Marianivka, where the farewell was held by the Hero's home at 13:20. Oleksandr Rudenok was buried in the local cemetery.
