On the night of 7 October russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine, with Kyiv region among the main directions of the attack. In the Bucha community and across Bucha district the air raid alert lasted four hours, from 03:09 to 07:09.

The enemy attacked with Zircon and Onyx anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles and 48 cruise missiles: Kh-101, Iskander-K and Kalibr. There were also 130 attack drones in the sky, 46 of them jet-powered.
As of 09:00 air defence had shot down or suppressed 161 targets: 5 ballistic missiles, 39 cruise missiles and 117 drones. Six more cruise missiles are being clarified. Hits were recorded at 18 locations, and debris fell at five.
What we know about the Bucha area
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration’s summary of the overnight attack does not mention Bucha district. Damage was recorded in Obukhiv district, where three industrial and storage buildings, a lorry and a trailer were damaged, regional administration head Tymur Tkachenko said. No one was hurt.
At 08:38 another air raid alert was declared in Bucha district. The Air Force warned that the attack was continuing and enemy drones remained in the air.
Two people killed in Kyiv
In the capital two people were killed in the attack and rescuers saved two more, the State Emergency Service reports. In Darnytskyi district a garage cooperative burned over 200 square metres, and in Podilskyi district two non-residential buildings caught fire.

Power outage schedules are in force in Kyiv region today as well. They were applied on Ukrenergo’s orders, DTEK reports.
As a reminder, on 7 October the Bucha area has power cuts under a preliminary schedule, and some queues will lose power twice in a day.
