On the morning of 30 September, a few hours after the massive overnight attack on Kyiv region, a Russian drone hit a grocery supermarket in Ivankovychi, Obukhiv district. In Kyiv, a warehouse was hit in the morning strike, killing a Kyivteploenergo employee.
This was reported by Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi.
A fire broke out in the supermarket over an area of 250 square metres, the SES of Kyiv region said. Rescuers put it out but are still dismantling and dousing the structures so that it does not flare up again.
One woman born in 1976 was hurt. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, she suffered acute stress and a hypertensive crisis and received medical help. According to ZN.UA, the building was hit by a jet-powered drone and partly burned down.

In Brovary three people were injured in the attack. Two men suffered shrapnel wounds, and doctors are establishing the third person’s diagnosis.
What happened in Kyiv
In Solomianskyi district a drone hit a warehouse. According to Vitali Klitschko, a Kyivteploenergo driver was killed there: the company’s specialists had been working at the site. One more person was hurt.
Among those injured in the capital is rescuer Volodymyr Skovorodka. According to Vyhivskyi, he was helping victims and was caught in a repeat strike himself.

In 2024 the Kyiv garrison rescuer covered 100 kilometres at the world championship in Bengaluru, India, in 9 hours 27 minutes and made the top hundred ultramarathon runners.

Energy was the main target
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, russia launched almost 190 attack drones and ballistic missiles. The main target was the energy system of the capital and Kyiv region, and work is under way to restore electricity and water wherever they are out.
Across the country five people, including a child, were killed in these strikes and 14 were injured.
Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said there had been no attack on energy this massive and combined since the end of the last heating season and told communities to check backup power at critical facilities.
Police are documenting war crimes and accepting reports of damaged or destroyed property. During air raid alerts the Interior Ministry urges people to stay in safe places.
As a reminder, on the evening of 28 September a drone hit a residential area in Bucha district: two houses burned and two people were rescued from the rubble.
