FC Kudrivka received an award from the Chernihiv Regional Football Association in the Favourite of the Season category. The awards were presented at a ceremony for participants of the 2026 Chernihiv region championship.

This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional Football Association.

Before the season Kudrivka were named among the main favourites and tipped to fight for gold. They finished fourth in the final table, but this season they won both the Chernihiv Region Cup and Super Cup.

The association stressed the character the team showed. Kudrivka won the Super Cup on 26 September against regional champions Pryluky, 2-1, scoring both goals in the first 16 minutes.

Why Kudrivka is close to the Bucha area

The club has ties to our district: its base is in Buzova, and its president Roman Solodarenko sits on the executive committee of the Bucha District Football Association. In the 2024/25 season Kudrivka hosted opponents at the Yuvileinyi stadium in Bucha.

The club’s first team plays in the Ukrainian Premier League this season. In October it faces five UPL matches and a trip to Dynamo.

Who else was honoured

Desna Chernihiv received the Breakthrough of the Season award. Last year they finished bottom, but this season they fought for the podium and were the only team never to lose to the new champions, FC Pryluky.

SK Sosnytsia were honoured as the Toughest Hosts for their character at home. FC Horodnia received the Resilience award: the team kept playing despite being close to the border with the enemy.

In the Strength in Unity category the association honoured K-21 from Pryluky, a team of Armed Forces servicemen. FC Nizhyn were named the Revival of the Season after returning to the championship from a long break and finishing fifth.

As a reminder, Kudrivka won the Chernihiv Region Super Cup, scoring twice against Pryluky within 16 minutes.
