The Health Screening 40+ programme targets precisely the age at which most heart, vascular and metabolic diseases produce no symptoms yet but can still be corrected. The funds are earmarked: they cannot be spent anywhere except a medical facility participating in the programme.

The procedure for receiving the funds was explained by the Makariv Settlement Council.

Through Diia: four steps

In the app, go to Services, then State Assistance and select Health Screening. After submitting the application you choose a Diia.Card for the transfer, or open one if you do not have it yet.

The money arrives on the card within seven days. You then book an appointment at a participating medical facility and pay for the check-up with that card.

The service centre is faster

Anyone not using the app can apply at an administrative service centre. First you need a Diia.Card from one of the partner banks: Abank, Sense Bank, Bank Credit Dnipro, PrivatBank or monobank.

Bring your passport, taxpayer registration number and the IBAN of the Diia.Card. The key advantage: the centre accepts applications immediately after your fortieth birthday, whereas the app requires a thirty-day wait.

Where the check-up itself takes place

Residents of the Makariv community can book a comprehensive screening at the local medical outpatient centre by phone or at the reception desk. The facility is at 62-V Bohdana Khmelnytskoho Street in Makariv.

The point of a preventive check-up is to catch dangerous conditions early, when treatment works best. After forty, most such conditions give no sign of themselves for years.
