An enemy drone hit the Stolychnyi market in Sofiivska Borshchahivka: two people killed [photos]

On the evening of 27 September an enemy attack drone struck the grounds of the Stolychnyi market in Sofiivska Borshchahivka, Bucha district. A fire broke out after the strike; rescuers and all relevant services are working at the scene.

What is known about the dead and injured

Two people were killed. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, the acting head of the Borshchahivka village community, Oleksandr Medvid, and Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko, the latter citing medics. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office first reported one death and later clarified that two people had been killed.

Figures for the injured differ: the regional administration speaks of three injured, Klitschko of four, and the prosecutor’s office of about 10.

The injured are receiving medical care.

Prosecutors have opened criminal proceedings over the attacks under Article 438 of the Criminal Code — violation of the laws and customs of war.

A second deadly attack in a day

It is the second attack with fatalities in Bucha district on 27 September: during the day in Vyshneve an enemy drone fell on a road with cars, killing a man and injuring three. And overnight the russian attack damaged 14 flats and at least 20 private houses in Bucha. The same day a car was damaged in Shchaslyve, Boryspil district, and a grain store and an apartment block in Bila Tserkva district.
