The works are being carried out to improve the reliability of the power supply and prevent faults in the grid — routine maintenance rather than the aftermath of shelling. For residents, however, it means two consecutive days without electricity during working hours.

The schedule was published by the Borodianka Settlement Council, citing DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

Who will be without power from 8:00 to 17:00

On both days, 3 and 4 August, the same schedule applies to the settlement of Borodianka — Industrialna, Kovelska, Pryozerna, Silskohospodarska and Shevchenka streets. Along with the settlement, the outage affects the villages of Bondarnia, Volytsia, Halynka, Druzhnia, Zahaltsi, Kachaly, Koblytsia, Koblytskyi Lis, Maidanivka, Myrcha, Stara Buda and Talske.

The longest list of streets is in Myrcha: 1-ho Travnia, Zatyshna, Zelenyi Hai, Kotsiubynskoho, Nasti Krytskoi, Tsentralna, Shevchenka and Shkilna. In Kachaly the outage covers Kooperatyvna, Molodizhna, Torfiane, Lesi Ukrainky, Shevchenka, Shkilna and Shkilnyi Lane.

Novyi Korohod and Tsentralna — until half past seven in the evening

A separate, longer schedule applies on 3 August to two locations. From nine in the morning until 19:30 there will be no power on Tsentralna Street in Borodianka and in the village of Novyi Korohod — where the outage covers 23 Serpnia, Vesela, Druzhby, Zavodska, Metalurhiv, Molodizhna, Nova, Parkova, Prombudivska, Sadova, Studentska and Kharkivska streets.

In Zahaltsi an additional window is scheduled for the same day, from 14:23 to 19:30. Part of the village will therefore be without power for almost the entire daylight period with only a short break.

The practical advice for two such days is simple: charge power banks and torches the evening before, draw water where the pump runs on electricity, and do not leave perishables in the fridge. A freezer usually holds for nine hours without power, provided it is not opened.
