The attack was among the heaviest in recent months. Twenty-four ballistic missiles, four Zircon- and Oniks-type missiles and 115 drones — a large share of them jet-powered — were fired at the capital and the region.

The figures were released by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

How many were killed in each district

As of the morning, the region confirmed fourteen civilians killed. The highest toll was in the Brovary district with nine. In the Bucha district the enemy killed four civilians, and one more person died in the Fastiv district.

Twenty-two people were injured across the region: twelve in the Brovary district, seven in the Bucha district and three in the Fastiv district. All are receiving the necessary medical care.

The figures are being revised

Later that morning the numbers rose: updated information for Kyiv and the region combined puts the toll at seventeen killed and forty-four injured. Counting continues, so the final figures may differ from the morning ones.

The discrepancy between reports is not an error: the region counts separately from the capital, rescue work in the rubble is ongoing, and casualty numbers are revised through the day.

What was burning

In the Kyiv region the strikes caused large fires at logistics and warehouse complexes, manufacturing plants, retail and other sites — in the Brovary, Bucha and Fastiv districts.

The main target of the attack was warehouse premises of civilian enterprises. Among the sites hit that have nothing to do with the war were a brewing company, building material warehouses and civilian logistics. There were also strikes on infrastructure and a railway station.

No hits recorded in the Makariv community

Separately, the Makariv Settlement Council reported that no strikes or falling debris were recorded on the community's territory.

In the capital, damage was recorded at no fewer than seven locations — in the Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Desnianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. In Holosiivskyi the damage caused an ammonia leak, which rescuers contained; there is no threat to the public.

What is known by midday

According to updated figures from the State Emergency Service in the Kyiv region, the number of people killed across the region has risen to sixteen, with twenty-nine more injured.

Rescuers are still dealing with the aftermath. In the Brovary district they are working at five locations: at one the fire has been put out and crews are dousing structures and clearing rubble. In the Bucha district a warehouse fire is still burning. In the Fastiv district a vehicle fire at one of the enterprises has been extinguished.
