Babyntsi and Buda-Babynetska brought their community together for a family celebration marking the village day. This was reported by Bucha City Council.
The celebration was described by the community.
During the formal part, Bucha mayor Anatolii Fedoruk and village head Andrii Kuprash thanked everyone whose hands keep order and comfort in the village every day.
The main words of gratitude went to the defenders. Some 170 local residents are currently defending Ukraine's independence.
The Kostiuchenko and Rozhniatovskyi couples drew particular applause — they have carried their love through half a century and marked their golden weddings.
Wishes were also given to the young Yosypenko and Pomeranskyi families, who are only starting out together.
The youngest residents were not forgotten either — Nazar Savkov and Yeva Lisnichuk. Nor were the village's oldest residents.
They are, in the organisers' words, the living chronicle of this land: they remember a village no longer in the photographs, and they see what it has become.
Babyntsi and Buda-Babynetska are part of the Bucha community. Both settlements lived through the occupation of 2022.
As a reminder, 25 couples married in the Bucha district in a single day.
